Who we are
PopHoop is a free basketball game operated by PopDrop LLC. Questions about this policy? Email hello@popdrophq.com.
What we collect
- Account details. If you create an account we store your email address and an encrypted password, handled by our authentication provider. We never see your password.
- Display name. Every account is given a randomly generated nickname. You can replace it with one of your own, which is screened automatically before it is saved.
- Game results. Teams you draft, chains you play, scores and daily leaderboard placements.
- Device storage. We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember an in-progress game. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
To run the games, save your history and lifetime stats, show daily leaderboards, keep the service secure, and reply when you contact us. We do not sell your personal information.
Leaderboards are opt-in
Your display name and score only appear on public leaderboards if you switch that on in your profile. It is off by default, and turning it off hides your past and future entries from other players. Your own stats are unaffected.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that host the site, store our data and screen display names for offensive content, plus anyone we are legally required to share it with. Historical NBA statistics come from public sources and contain no personal information about you.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page: your teams, chains and personal history are removed, and past leaderboard placements remain on record anonymously as "Deleted player". You can also email us to request deletion or a copy of your data.
Children
PopHoop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we update this policy we will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
